Our main farm is located in Palmyra, VA, where we have a large, covered arena, 24-stall barn, 40 acres of turnout, and access to adjacent trail riding. We specialize in breeding, training, and sales of young, sound draft crosses, warmbloods, and sport ponies, mainly of color! We stand 4 amazing stallions and maintain 30 broodmares. We boast an excellent camera system and excellent mare care. We also offer foaling services to outside horses.
We stand four stallions and produce around 20 foals per year. Check out our “Stallions” to meet the boys! Our mares and stallions have been carefully selected based on temperament, conformation, color, and movement. We aim to produce warmbloods and crossbreds that are amateur friendly, conformationally correct, well mannered, and colored. We produce palomino, buckskin, and pinto warmbloods and crossbreds.
Our foals grow up learning how to be horses. They live in mixed herds based on age in big fields with plenty of room to run around and play. They are grained daily and come in for deworming, hoof trims, and vaccinations. At age two, we start bringing them home a couple at a time to do some groundwork and receive a handful of rides – basically just to stand to be mounted and be comfortable with the idea of a rider on them while moving around. After this, they get turned back out to grow up. Somewhere in their three-year-old year, they come in for training. I enjoy the process of raising the babies and training them. The foals are available for sale, but I rarely push to sell anything before they are well under saddle so that I get the opportunity put a good solid foundation on them and match them better with their new owners.
While most of the horses are born, raised and trained here, we also have a few consignment horses available. We also offer a couple of training spots at a time for colt starting or riding in most disciplines. For information on this, please reach out. There is generally a long waiting list.
