Copygun is a very impressive young gelding. He moves in such a way he could win the hack in the hunters, but use his hind end well enough to be competitive through the upper levels of eventing, jumpers, or dressage! His dam, Copycat Chloe has quite the resume. She won young riders, then continued in her eventing career through advanced and even competed at Rolex. She continued showing in the jumpers through 1.30m and is still at age 25 sound and eventing at the lower levels and enjoying teaching young riders. She is the soundest horse I have met! We bred her to Son of a Gun to add a little size (Chloe is 16H, sire is 16.2-16.3H with a hair more bone) and keep the same movement and athleticism.
Copygun is very friendly and curious and has been since birth. He was registered and inspected with the AWSSR in 2025. In August 2026, we started him under saddle. On the ground, he leads, ties, loads, bathes, and stands for the farrier and does natural horsemanship ground work. He is respectful but certainly has the energy you would expect from an upper-level prospect. He stands to be groomed, tacked, bridled, and mounted. Under saddle, he goes walk/trot/canter and is learning to steer off of rein and leg and give to the bit. He has had a couple of rides outside of the ring as well. He has big, correct gaits and lots of suspension. He has a nice motor and plenty of stamina. He is looking for an amateur with big goals and a trainer (or just a trainer) to help take him up the levels of whichever discipline one chooses!
